Bells Lake is a well-established residential neighborhood located just off Greentree Road and Ganttown Road in Washington Township, Gloucester County. This relatively large neighborhood consists of residential streets that are of similar style properties circa 1966. There are approximately 472 residential lots within the neighborhood with only a handful of lots being owned by the local township.

These single family, detached homes vary in styles from one story ranchers to two story colonials to split level homes. The average home is three to four bedrooms and one to two and a half bathrooms. Approximately half of the homes have a one car garage and a basement. The average lot size is about a one fifth of an acre.

Just off Bells Lake Drive is a local swim club that homeowners can join for a yearly fee. The fee allows for access to the lake and community clubhouse.

While there is no homeowner’s association governing this neighborhood; it is desirable due to location and option to join the swim club. Homeowners are responsible for all maintenance and upkeep to the properties. Real estate taxes are approximately $5,000 to $7,000 a year.

The location of this neighborhood provides easy access to major roads and neighboring townships. The local municipal building, police department, hospital, medical facilities, shopping, and dining are all just a short drive from the neighborhood.

The local schools that area residents would attend are Bells Lake Elementary, Orchard Valley Middle School, and Washington Township High School.

The location of this neighborhood provides easy access to major roads and neighboring townships. Turning left out of the neighborhood will lead you towards NJ Route 42, which offers plenty of shopping, dining, and local businesses…and the Deptford Mall complex with a wide selection of dining and shopping options is just minutes away. Turning right onto Fries Mill Road will lead you towards Williamstown/Franklinville. The local Jefferson University Hospital and numerous medical facilities are just a short drive away.

Washington Township is a popular neighborhood that offers the best in South Jersey life.
